You are bidding on a used, but basically brand new 1998 Ski-Doo Mach 1. It has 2131 original miles. This sled is in like brand new condition, no rips, tears, scratches or cracks whatsoever on this sled. The paint shines like it did the day my uncle and I picked it up new. It has hand and thumb warmers, and also Ski-Doo's DESS anti theft system. It has been meticulously maintained by a local professional Ski-Doo drag racer and engine builder with a reputation second to none. This sled has always been garaged, and greased, waxed and cleaned before and after each ride. It has never been studded so no worries about stud damage to the heat exchangers or rear flap. The only upgrades it has ever had is Dynoport triple silencers, basically only for the sound, and they sound snotty. The sled also has a pair of yellow USI Pro VX skis for better handling. It has yellow screens, yellow skid plate, yellow running board and tie rod trim and Troy Lee Design decals on the hood. As for maintenance, it had to have new crank berrings 2 years ago. The reason being, I was away at college for 2 1/2 years, and it sat in my parent's garage in that time. The sled never got used and I never fogged the engine. My mechanic told me that by not doing so and since it had sat for so long, that the berrings actually dried out and became no good. We replaced the berrings, and since we had the engine apart and out, we put in a new head gasket anyway. Everything else was in excellent shape so we did nothing else. The sled doesn't have 100 miles on the new berrings and gasket. Just to clarify the college thing, I am 34 years old, not a kid. I know the reputation younger individuals get when it comes to toys. This sled has always been adult ridden and very very well taken care of. It always starts up on the second or third pull depending on temperature. It has never been beaten on, rolled, wrecked etc. I can't even begin to tell you how fast this sled is. It pulls like a freight train at any speed range and goes 0 to 100 in a heartbeat. It has blown away many 800's and even a couple 900's to say the least. My buddy had, and I mean had, a Yamaha SRX 700 with the big bore kit, studs and pipes etc, and it never stood a chance out of the hole. He actually sold the sled the next week he was so mad. The only reason I am selling the sled is because I just bought a new house and unfortunately I just don' t have the room in my garage or even worse, time to ride anymore. It was either the sled or my '79 Trans Am and the car isn't going anywhere. I also have a cover, stand, and wheeled dollies for the skis so the track and skis are never in contact with the ground. There are also 2 jackets and 2 helmets available for an extra cost. The sled was just ridden a week ago so I know she's all ready to go. Don't miss out on this one or you'll be sorry. You can look all you want but you won't find one nicer anywhere. I am also working on getting out to get the VIN number off of it, in case anyone wants to do a background check on it, but I guarantee you no worries at all. I also have the sled listed locally so I reserve the right to cancel the auction at any time. The auction states Verona NY, which is where the sled is currently. I live in Syracuse NY, about a half hour west of Verona. No deadbeat bidders please, only serious inquiries. Deadbeats will get negative feedback and ebay will be contacted. Any more questions can be answered at phone number 315-729-4235. Thanks for reading and good luck bidding, Joe.
