eBay LIVE! 2008 or eBay DEAD 2008?
The reports from eBay LIVE! are quite interesting.
First this YouTube video shows a ghost town in the conference room that should be full of eBay Power Sellers (Note: eBay does not allow video taping eBay live sessions, now you know why)
Then AuctionBytes transcripts some of the eBay LIVE! Q and A sessions,
Oooooops Griff, don’t you wish you kept your mouth shut? Remember eBay is all bunnies, daisies and lollypops!
where eBay spokesman Griff declares:
Griff: We had to make these changes because, without buyers, there will be no eBay in two years.
“Bullshit!” someone says.
“No bullshit,” he responds; “absolutely true. The rate of decline in the growth of buyers…it was ripe for buyers going other places, and if the momentum starts, eBay is over.“

A lot of us went out of our way to tell and actually show eBay management what was happening to the marketplace.
We the users of eBay built the sites reputation, all eBay management did was build the platform to sell on, we did all the rest!
Meanwhile they just denied everything and kept raking in the fees as the site got a worse reputation each month!
I had gathered a lot of eBay Motors related scams and other dirty deeds, and published it for them to see hoping they would clean the garbage dump up - but they could care less as these Romanian Kids cleaned out their buyers bank accounts!
Here is a lot of screen captures showing the fraud as far back as late 2003. I have since gave up on archiving the scams - if they don’t care neither do i! But here is an eye full of what they avoided.
